This year’s YAANA Corporate Challenge saw multiple riders biking through northern Vietnam’s picturesque landscapes raising funds from registration fees, live auctions, and personal fundraising efforts. With more than 15 corporate sponsors alongside 20 riders and event participants, net proceeds of $25,000 were raised. The funds will be donated evenly between the two local charities, Operation Smile Vietnam and Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation.
Day 1
After settling into the Legacy Yen Tu – MGallery and meeting our fellow riders, our bikes professionally were fitted by our partners at IndoTrek and received a route briefing and introduction.
Following the briefing and dinner, our fellow riders prepared for their 75km bike ride the next morning.
Day 2
Saturday, 19 October 2019: Ha Long – Yen Tu
After an early breakfast, our group departed to Ha Long City. We hopped on our bikes and cycled along the coastline heading out of the city.
The Route cycles past the famous Ha Long Bay, through the busy city of Ha Long and back to Yen Tu Mountain.
Our riders stopped for lunch in the quaint town of Troi before heading along the challenging but beautiful roads through mountains and forests.
Day 3
Sunday, 22 October 2019: Yen Tu – Dai Viet
After breakfast, we saddled up and peddled through scenic Vietnamese countryside, passing lush rice fields and small towns along our 49.5km route.
We finished our journey at Dai Viet Fine Art Restaurant for lunch, before transferring back to Legacy Yen Tu – MGallery for the award ceremony and closing dinner.
