In September 2024, YAANA Ventures organized the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk at Koh Kret, Thailand. The walkathon raised funds and awareness for Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, supporting children affected by human trafficking in Vietnam and neighboring countries. The initiative reflects YAANA Ventures’ continued commitment to community empowerment and social impact across the region.
Supporting Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation
Held on Koh Kret island in Nonthaburi, the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk brought together more than 80 participants and raised USD 5,070 (THB 168,929), surpassing the original target of USD 3,000. The funds support children affected by human trafficking by providing education, safe shelter, emergency services, and rescue operations to reunite young victims with their families.
Since 2003, Blue Dragon has rescued over 1,500 people, helped 6,400 children return to school, provided shelter to more than 1,770 young people, served 684,000+ meals, and secured legal documentation for over 13,500 individuals.
The walkathon was co-organised with Naruna – Beyond Retreats, a YAANA Ventures company specialising in workplace productivity and human development. The event marked the revival of YAANA Ventures’ fundraising initiatives, following the successful cycling challenges of 2017 and 2019.
