In 2019, YAANA Ventures returned to Vietnam for its second Corporate Challenge, expanding both the scale and impact of the event. The ride raised funds for two meaningful causes: Operation Smile Vietnam, which provides life-changing surgeries for children with cleft conditions, and the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, which supports street children and combats human trafficking across Vietnam.
Supporting Operation Smile Vietnam and Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation
The 2019 Bikeathon edition brought together riders from across the region for a challenging multi-day cycling route through northern Vietnam’s landscapes. From Uông Bí to Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu Mountain, and the surrounding countryside. The event raised USD 25,000, helping alleviate long-term hardship for vulnerable young people.
Corporate sponsors played a vital role in the event’s success, including Naruna Beyond Retreats, BSM Group, Chow Energy, Antipodeans, GROUND Asia, Zone Golf, Green Trails, Khiri Travel, HMP Master, Indotrek, the Legacy Yen Tu-MGallery Hotel, and ScottAsia Communications.
Beyond fundraising, the challenge served as a platform for cross-industry connection. Leaders from sectors ranging from hospitality and student educational travel to renewable energy and workplace infrastructure exchanged ideas during evening networking activities.
The YAANA Corporate Challenge 2019 highlighted how adventure, collaboration, and corporate leadership can come together to create lasting impact for children and communities across Vietnam.
