
In 2017, YAANA Ventures launched its first corporate bike challenge in Vietnam to raise funds for Operation Smile Vietnam, an organization providing life-changing surgeries for children born with cleft lips and palates. The event combined cycling with a charitable cause, raising awareness and financial support for essential medical interventions. This initiative marked the beginning of YAANA Ventures’ commitment to connecting business activity with meaningful social impact in the region.
Supporting Operation Smile Vietnam
The YAANA Corporate Challenge was a three-day corporate cycling event that combined adventure, networking, and fundraising for a good cause. In 2017, riders cycled from Quy Nhon to Hoi An, Vietnam, experiencing scenic coastal routes, local culture, and historic sites like the My Lai Massacre Memorial. The event promoted sustainability, responsible tourism, and corporate wellness, while raising funds for Operation Smile Thailand and Vietnam, providing life-changing surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates.
The 2017 Challenge featured 18 riders, 17 corporate sponsors, and raised USD 25,000 in net proceeds. Organized by YAANA Ventures and Grasshopper Adventures, the program included fully supported rides, accommodations, and ceremonies, along with media coverage, jerseys, and event souvenirs. Corporate participants engaged through sponsorships, team-building, and fundraising efforts, making it a high-impact event for both participants and beneficiaries.
